What I Can Help You With

You may not have all the answers right now – and that's okay. Many people come to counselling because something doesn't feel right, but they're not quite sure why. Together, we can begin to make sense of things.

Anxiety

You might be feeling constantly on edge, overthinking everything, or struggling to relax. We'll work together to explore what's fuelling your anxiety and develop ways to help you feel more grounded and in control. Find out more about counselling for anxiety here.

Depression

If you're feeling low, disconnected, or like life has lost its joy, counselling can offer a space to gently explore those feelings and begin to reconnect with yourself. Find out more about counselling for depression here.

Relationship Issues

Whether you're experiencing conflict, communication problems, or feeling alone within a relationship, I can help you explore patterns and build healthier connections. Find out more about relationship counselling here.

Emotional Abuse

If you've experienced controlling, manipulative or demeaning behaviour, you may be left feeling confused, hurt, or doubting yourself. Together, we can begin to rebuild your self-worth and sense of safety. Find out more about counselling for emotional abuse here.

Trauma

Past experiences can continue to affect you long after the event. You might feel easily triggered, emotionally numb, or overwhelmed by memories. Therapy offers a space to gently process trauma at a pace that feels safe for you. Get in touch to find out more about trauma therapy.

Feeling Stuck

Sometimes, life just feels 'off'. You might feel directionless, lost, or trapped in the same old cycles. Therapy can help you understand what's keeping you stuck and support you in finding a new way forward. Get in touch to get started.

Counselling In-Person in Wallington, Surrey & Online

How We Work Together

My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in genuine respect for your unique experiences. I believe that the counselling relationship is key; you don't have to have it all figured out. This is your space, and we go at your pace.

We'll meet weekly, either in person in Wallington or online if that's more convenient for you. The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, talk about what's bringing you to therapy, and see how it feels to work together.

There's no pressure, just a space for you to be heard, understood, and supported. If you're ready to take that first step, or even if you're not sure yet, feel free to get in touch. I'm here when you need me.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no such thing as a silly question. If you have a question that has not been answered on this site, please reach out and ask. I will happily respond with an answer if I can.

What are the first steps?

Arranging a free, no obligation 15-minute introduction chat with me to discuss your needs. This can be done on the phone or online using Zoom. You can call me on 07475 778125 or email me through the contact form to leave me a message with your contact details.

What happens after the introduction call?

If you would like to book a session, I will email you some information that makes up an agreement to work together and also a personal details form. This needs to be returned to me before your next booked session.

The first session is an initial assessment to gather information and decide if we can work together. This lasts 50 minutes and is a time for you to tell me what you would like to work on, your expectations and your goals. You may not yet know this and that is ok. We can make a start with what you feel ready to say.

What can I expect from a session?

All sessions are for 50 minutes. I work with clients in person and online using Zoom. For online sessions you will need to be in a private space, where no one can overhear what you are talking about. I will do the same. In person sessions are carried out in my private therapy room in Wallington. Sessions are usually on the same day and time each week and are a place for you to explore what you are finding difficult at a pace that suits you.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no set answer to this. Everyone is different and the importance is working at a pace that is right for you. Sometimes people only need a few sessions to gain different perspectives and reframe how they feel about their issue. Others want to work on a deeper level and longer-term therapy is better for that. Finances and time often play a part in this.

We can work together in reviewing how things are going for you and go from there. To give you an idea, some people feel that 6-8 sessions are enough to help them work things out and other people may need longer. Nothing is set in stone, and we can work out an appropriate plan for you and your circumstances.

How much do sessions cost?

All sessions cost £60. Payment is made online by bank transfer and paid before each session.

What if I want to cancel?

All cancellations must be made with 24 hours’ notice. Full session fees of £60 are charged if you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice. I understand that sometimes unexpected things can happen so exceptional circumstances will be taken into consideration provided they are not a repetitive pattern.
